Praise

Just wanted to say things are getting better.

Although there is not a lot of money in my account at the home office

it won't be in a negative balance any more.

Please continue to pray for my support. Right now I think I'm about

45%. I have to do the math but it feels that way.

Pray, pray and pray

R.A. Torrey said in his book "How to Pray" Ephesians 6:18 "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

Comment "'I must pray, pray, pray, I must put all my energy and all my heart into prayer. Whatever else I do, I must pray.'"

I could really use your prayers today. I just heard from Global Outreach that my ministry account is over drawn again. I am running short each month about $3000. My sending church, Unity Baptist of Ashland, KY has helped me several times but this time there are no funds left. I am in the hole $1300 right now. Pray that money will come into replenish my accounts.

Also I need new churches and individuals who are willing to help me with the two ministries in Uganda. I can't do it without you! I need 30 church and individuals giving $100 a month or 60 individuals giving $50 a month. Please pray about helping me to give the gospel to the people of Uganda.

Home on Furlough

I hope I can do better at up dating this blog. My sister told me if I have a blog I should up date it. But like everyone time seems to slip away.

I am in the US for 8 months. I hope to be meeting some of you during my time at home.

Right now I am struggling with a mycoplasma pneumonia. Yes, those who follow my FB posts this has been hanging on. It even gave me such a problem when I got to go to Israel. I hope in 9 days I will be well.

I am also raising new supporters. I am praying for 20 new churches and individuals who will help me with $30 a month. That is a $1 a day. I can do so much with that . . . like $10 will buy a Bible for my women's training CWWC. Also $30 will buy about five bottles of 1000 tab of Panodol (Tylenol).

I hope I will hear from some of you.

Furlough

I told you that I would try to update weekly. I missed last week. Here is a brief up date.

I am on "furlough" in the States right now. "Furlough" gives the idea of rest from work. Not so for the missionary. I arrived home on October 31 and have had just a few days of rest. Some of the missionaries that I talk with say, "I can't wait to get back to the field to rest."

Just so you know I have not been laying around this has been the last 6 weeks schedule.

Nov. 6 spoke to Unity Baptist WMU. Who are a group of lovely ladies who support me with finances and prayers. They are some of my biggest fans.

Nov. 9 & 10 I went on retreat with my church to Greenbo State Park. Pastor Floyd Paris spoke on "Men are like Waffles and Women are like Spaghetti", he had us all laughing at the funny way we behave.

The week of Thanksgiving my sister and her family came to Ashland. We all went to see UK blow out Liberty University. Liberty is were me, my sister and her husband attended university. The blow out was 30+ points.

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner at Greenbo State Park. You can't beat it no cooking and no cleaning up.

On the last day of November I boarded a plane to spend 2 1/2 weeks in around Atlanta, GA. I have a lot of friends from this area and a lot of supports both financial and prayer.

I have spoke 4 times last week. I have a great devotion the Lord gave me for the Mt Vernon's Joyful Hearts Ministry tea. I hope you will take time to read it.

This week holds a lot of lunches and dinners with more friends. It is no wonder that a missionary will gain at least 20 pounds before going back to the field. It takes me the whole time I'm back on the field to lost that weight before we come home again.

Children's Clinic

The Children's Ward of the Jinja Hospital was redone in 2003. I have a staff of 10 who take care of the Outpatient Department. Besides staffing I also supply all the medicines needed for the OPD and the ward. We help from 150 - 200 children a day. Our biggest disease is Malaria.

Christian Women Working in Communities

This is 120 of the 220 teachers CWWC has working in the country of Uganda. 2007-08 we will have an additional 70 teachers.

Diana Ferrell

Hi, I have been in Jinja, Uganda since 2002. My work is training rural women in Biblical studies, Health Education, and facilitating Adult Literacy. I also have the Children's Clinic of the OPD of the Children's Hospital in Jinja. We serve every day 150 - 200 children with all kinds of diseases.

I also work in Northern Uganda on the boarder of South Sudan in Moyo District. I help the Government hospital's children's ward with medicines serving both the children and the adult patients. A new laboratory has been donated there to help the People of the West Nile Region. I work for Global Outreach International which is a faith based ministry. I love what I do.
